Présentation : C'est une reprise qui fait lever quelques sourcils… et sourire les amateurs de détournements musicaux. Voici "Stairway to Heaven" — oui, LA chanson de Led Zeppelin — revisitée par… Pat Boone, crooner propret des années 50/60, expert en swing douillet et en reprises lissées.
Dans son album "In A Metal Mood: No More Mr. Nice Guy" sorti en 1997, Boone s'amuse à transformer les hymnes du rock et du métal en lounge orchestré, avec cuivres, trompettes et brushing impeccable.
Le résultat ? Un Led Zep qui prend l'ascenseur doré au lieu de l'escalier mystique. Étonnant, cocasse, et, osons le dire… franchement réjouissant.

Cette reprise est souvent citée dans les palmarès des "pires reprises de tous les temps"… ce qui en fait donc, logiquement, un "must have" absolu chez Bide & Musique !
