La chanson "Ha ! Ha ! said the clown" de Manfred Man a été adaptée en français par Frank Alamo sous le titre "Oh ! Oh ! fait le clown" et en finnois par Fredi sous le titre "O.y. sanoi hän p.a.". Le Québécois Patrick Zabé a interprété "Jo Jo le clown" mais il s'agit là d'une adaptation de Mighty Quinn de Bob Dylan.
.
Parmi les reprises notons, dans un registre où on ne les attendaient pas, les Yardbirds.
