Présentation	George Martin utilisa une section de huit instruments à cordes pour la musique de cette chanson de Paul Mc Cartney qui intégrera l'album "Revolver" et mise en face B de "Yellow submarine"en 1966. Originellement intitulée "Miss Daisy Hawkins", elle prit le nom d'Eleanor Rigby sous l'influence de l'actrice Eleanor Bron (qui joue dans Help! et d'un magasin de vin de Bristol, Rigby & Evens Ltd).
