Présentation : Single extrait de l'album Slippery When Wet. Il s'agit d'une réécriture de "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)" de Bonnie Tyler, sorti la même année en Europe. Son compositeur, Desmond Child, déçu de l'échec de la version originale aux États-Unis, en a repris la mélodie pour offrir ce titre à Bon Jovi.

En France, le 45 tours n'a pas été commercialisé (tout comme "Livin' on a Prayer"), ce qui explique son absence au Top 50. En revanche, l'album a rencontré un très grand succès commercial.
