Présentation : Adapté en français par Zanini, "Chanson d'Hérode".
A l'origine, la chanson devait se nommer "Those Saladin Days" et être incluse dans la comédie musicale "Come Back, Richard, Your Country Needs You" mais le projet ayant avorté, Andrew Lloyd Webber et Tim Rice tentèrent d'en faire la sélection britannique pour l'Eurovision 1969, avec Rita Pavone, "Try it and see", mais le titre ne fut pas retenu, et c'est la chanson de Lulu, "Boom band a bang", qui fut sélectionnée et qui remporta le concours. Les auteurs recyclèrent la chanson pour la comédie musicale Jesus Christ Superstar sous l'intitulé "King Herod's song" interprété par Mike d'Abdo.
