Et même avant, Tanya Tucker, il y eu l'original par Alex Harvey et l'adaptation par Sylvie Vartan, "Toi le garçon" puis celle de Claude Valade, "Jonathan le goéland".
Daliah Lavi avait réalisé une adaptation en allemand "Neuer wind", tandis que 宮前ユキ (Yuki Miyamae) chantait, en japonais, "私は歌う".
En norvégien, Inger Lise Rypdal a interprété "Anna" et une autre adaptation allemande, sobrement nommée "Delta dawn", a été hantée par Bruce Low.
En flamand, Dana Winner a interprété "Kijk omhoog", alors qu'en finnois, Maarit puis Pauli Hanhiniemi ont interprété "Laakson Lijla".
En tchèque, "Žíznivé ráno" a été hanté par Hana Ulrychová, "Řeka ví" par Jitka Vrbová et "Orel" par Jitka Zelenková.
