La chanson "Good rockin' tonight" a été créée par Roy Brown en 1947 et reprise l'année suivante par Wynonie Harris avant de trouver la consécration, en 1954, par Elvis Presley, Scotty Moore et Bill Black.
En français, Eddy Mitchell a interprété "Et la voix d'Elvis", titre qu'il a aussi chanté avec sa fille Maryline Moine.
En espagnol, Los Teen Tops ont chanté "Buen rock esta noche".
Parmi les reprises, notons celle de Carl Perkins, celle des Beatles, celle de James Brown, celle de Buddy Holly ou celle des Doors.
