La chanson "Black cloud" de Bill Brock a été adaptée en français par Les Solistes sous le titre "Comme une ombre sur moi". Mais tant l'original de Bill Brock, pourtant diffusé en France par Vogue, que l'adaptation des Solistes n'ont rencontré d'audience. Ce sont la reprise de Chubby Checker et l'adaptation de Johnny Hallyday qui feront connaitre la chanson.
En allemand, "Schwarze wolke" sera chanté par Mike Roger.
Parmi les reprises, notons celles des chanteurs country Leroy Van Dyke et Eddy Arnold.
