La chanson "It's the same old song", interprétée en 1965 par les Four Tops, a été reprise, en 1967, par leur équivalent féminin chez Tamla–Motown, les Supremes. Une première adaptation en français a été faite, en 1967, pour Sylvie Vartan sous l'intitulé "Moi je danse", puis, en 1971, Claude François a chanté "C'est la même chanson". Cette version a ensuite été reprise par François Valèry, par Thierry Pastor, par Dave et par M. Pokora.
En allemand, Buddy Caine a chanté "Es liegt nur an dir" et en norvégien, Ole Ivars a interprété "Den samme gamle sang". En portugais, le Brésilien Eduardo Araujo a chanté "Longe de voce".
Parmi les reprises, notons celle, en 1966, des Motions, celle de Johnny Rivers, celle de KC & the Sunshine Band, celle de Rod Stewart et, en 2015, celle d'Iron and Wine.
