David Essex a interprété le rôle du "Che" dans la comédie musicale "Evita" jouée en 1978 à Londres.
La musique de "Don't cry for me Argentina" a été réutilisée par Tim Rice pour le titre "Oh what a circus" chanté, sur l'album concept de 1976, par Colm Wilkinson.
Ce titre a été interprété en suédois par Anders Ekborg sous l'intitulé "Åh vilken cirkus". La chanson a été reprise par Mandy Patinkin, par Antonio Bandeiras, par Jess Conrad et par Ricky Martin.
