La chanson "Mystery train" de Little Junior's Blue Flames a été popularisée par Elvis Presley.
La version française "Train sans espoir" a été interprétée par Johnny Hallyday alors que Betty & the Bops ont chanté "Le train du mystère".
La version tchèque, "Dým, jen dým", a été chantée par le Spirituál kvintet alors qu'en néerlandais P.P. Michiels a interprété "Trein".
En espagnol, "Tren misterioso" a été chanté par Corcobado.
Parmi les reprises, notons celle de Dick Rivers, celle de Wanda Jackson ou celle de Jerry Garcia.

Little Tony a interprété un mélange de "Mystery train" et de "Tiger man", la chanson créée par Rufus Thomas et aussi reprise par Elvis Presley. La version française, "Le train du mystère-Tigre d'acier" a été interprétée par Ringo.
